My training has involved a number of different approaches to therapy including a Masters degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, accredited training in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy.
I have many years of experience working in the private sector and charitable organisations. In my practice I implement different psychotherapeutic approaches in a flexible and adaptable manner, integrating elements from cognitive behavioural therapy, compassion focussed therapy, mindfulness and psychodynamic principles.
My specialist interests include working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression. I have experience of working with different types of trauma and how this can affect us all in different ways.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapists. (BABCP). I follow a strict code of conduct and ethics. As part of being a member of the BABCP I keep up to date with my professional training and qualifications and I continue to broaden my professional development including regular supervision.
Professional Development
We all live increasingly stressful lives and we all respond to these stresses differently. Working sensitively and with compassion I work together with my clients helping them to achieve the changes they wish to make in their lives.
